🍤 Spicy Prawns Fry Recipe

Serves: 3-4 | Prep Time: 20 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins


Ingredients:

  • 300g cleaned prawns (small or medium)

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • ½ tsp garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 1 tbsp rice flour or corn flour (for crispiness)

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Fresh curry leaves (optional)

  • Green chilies (slit, optional)


Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Prawns:

    • In a bowl, mix prawns with ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, lemon juice, and rice flour.

    • Set aside for 15–20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. Fry the Prawns:

    • Heat oil in a pan.

    • Add curry leaves and green chilies if using.

    • Add marinated prawns in a single layer. Fry on medium heat for 6–8 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden, crispy, and cooked through.

  3. Serve Hot:

    • Garnish with a squeeze of lime and fresh coriander.
